Review: Full Service: My Adventures in Hollywood and the Secret Sex Lives of the Stars

Full Service: My Adventures in Hollywood and the Secret Sex Lives of the Stars
Full Service: My Adventures in Hollywood and the Secret Sex Lives of the Stars by Scotty Bowers

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Like listening to an old man tell stories about his past in a gay bar, this memoir is hilarious, bawdy, studded with celebrity cameos, and factually suspect at best. If you believe Scotty Bowers, he had sex with nearly every Hollywood celebrity you can name, both male and female, from the late 1940s to the 1970s. He also hooked up many other celebrities with good-looking friends of his for sexual purposes, although he insists that he never charged for his pimping services, only accepted tips for tricking. Fine, whatever. It doesn't matter. The salacious details are rarely filthy, just pleasantly titillating, but the frank account of the sheer number of Hollywood hookups becomes wonderfully funny after the list just keeps going and going and going and going.

I thoroughly enjoyed this star-studded sex romp down Hollywood Blvd. Who cares if it's all true? It's a blast.
