Lisey's Story by Stephen King
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
Weirdly flat, uninspired, and slow. So much of it was interior memory work, with flashbacks upon flashbacks upon layers of dreamworld that wasn't as frightening or interesting as it could've been. Despite decent construction, excellent polish, and some nice mythological references, the story simply never takes off.
